Aquascape 200 watt AquaDeicer is ideal for keeping a small hole open in the ice during winter.  It is important to leave a small hole open at the surface of the pond allowing for necessary gas exchange.  In extreme conditions or gardening zones above 5 we recommend the Deicer be used in conjunction with an Aquascape pond aerator.

  When using electrical appliances, safety precautions must be followed as described below:
  
  1. Read all instructions before use.
  2. To protect against electrical hazards, DO NOT FULLY IMMERSE THE PRODUCT IN WATER!
  3. Close supervision is necessary when using by or around children.
  4. Always unplug the product when not in use.
  5. Do not use the product when obvious damage is noticed to the supply cord or plug. Inspect cord before using.
  6. Do not use the product if the product has malfunctioned or has been damaged in any manner.
  7. Do not dismantle or puncture the unit for any reason. This could cause damage and will void the warranty.
  
  What the AquaDeicer™ 200 does:
  
  - Keeps hole open for gas exchange
  - Not intended to heat pond
  
  Instruction for use: 120 VAC only
  
  1. Place the AquaDeicer™ 200 in a shallow end of the pond protected from the wind.
  2. Plug the unit directly into properly grounded 120 volt AC receptacle outlet.
  3. Unplug, clean, and store when not in use.
  4. Store indoors after winter season. Inspect cord before using. Read all instructions.
  5. Do not use extension cords.
  
  Test for proper operation
  
  (1) Unplug the unit and remove from the pond.
  (2) Place the unit in your freezer for 30 minutes to re-set the thermostat.
  (3) After 30 minutes, remove the unit from the freezer and plug directly into a receptacle outlet.
  (4) Place your hand on the underneath of the AquaDeicer ™ 200 after 5 minutes to feel for heat. If thesurface is warm to the touch then the AquaDeicer 200 is operating properly.
  
  2 YEAR WARRANTY
  
  The AquaDeicer™ 200 is guaranteed for two years after the original date of consumer purchase or date stamped on the unit against defects due to material and the company’s workmanship only. The sole obligation shall be to replace the defective unit with a replacement unit. Units should be “Checked for proper operation” prior to returning as defective.No liability for loss or damage of any nature or kind, whether arising out of or from the use of the product, whether defective or not defective, is assumed by Aquascape, Inc.
