1) Electrical Safety Aquascape™ AquaJet Pump
• Inspect your Aquascape™ AquaJet™ Pump upon arrival for any obvious signs of damage. If damage is found, return the unit to where it was purchased for an exchange.
• Always unplug the Aquascape™ AquaJet ™ Pump electrical supply before any routine maintenance.
• Do not operate Aquascape™ AquaForce™ Pump with a damaged cord or plug
• Any pond related electrical equipment requires a GFI protected circuit. Always have a qualified electrician install any electrical outlets. Test your GFI outlet on a regular basis.
• Do not use cord to pull plug from outlet. Grasp the plug and pull to disconnect. • The Aquascape™ AquaJet™ Pump comes equipped with a 25’ power cord. This should be enough to reach an outlet close to your pond. Do not splice or remove the pump cord as this will void any warranty.
• The Aquascape™ AquaJet™ Pump has been designed to operate submersed in pond water.

2) Installation
2.1 Assembly
1) Screw the Divert Valve to the threaded body of the pump that protrudes out from the central part of the upper shell.
2) Fasten the telescopic tube to the Divert Valve Fig. 2. In the AquaJet 1000 and AquaJet 1500 (equipped with the 2-1 Fountain Head) fasten the telescopic tube by screwing the ring nut to the Divert Valve. If the ring nut is loosened you can direct the telescopic tube of the AquaJet so that it is perpendicular to the water surface.
3) If you have the AquaJet 600 all you have to do is select the fountain head it is supplied with and fasten it to the telescopic tube Fig. 3. If you have the AquaJet 1000 or AquaJet 1500 all you have to do is screw the 2-1 Fountain Head onto the telescopic tube.
3) Positioning The AquaJet™
Position the AquaJet on a base that is raised in relation to the bottom of the pond to avoid clogging of the shell. Remember that the AquaJet is intended to be run in water and must never run dry. When installation has been completed, make sure the plug is accessible.
4) How to Operate the Fountain Head(s)
4.1 Fountain Head (AquaJet 1000 and 1500 only)
The 2-1 Fountain Head allows you to have two different fountain styles: the double daisy and the water bell by simply turning the mobile parts of the fountain head.
4.2 Water Bell
To have the water bell, turn the stem off and unscrew the fountain head counter clockwise.
4.3 Double Daisy
To have the Double Daisy, screw the fountain head closed by turning clockwise and open the stem.
4.4 Fountain Head Operation for AquaJet 600
The AquaJet 600 comes with two separate fountain heads the attach directly to the divert valve. To attach the fountain head simply press the head onto the divert valve. To vary the diameter of the water bell fountain head all you have to do is unscrew the central part. You can vary the height of the fountain by opening or closing the divert valve.
5) Maintenance
5.1 Routine Maintenance
• Your Aquascape™ AquaJet ™ Pump should operate under continuous duty without any major maintenance.
• If any reduction in flow is noticed, unplug the pump and remove it from the pond. Depressing the clips on the pump will allow access to the main pump chamber. Remove any debris, and if required, remove the Pump Volute Outlet by turning counterclockwise and pulling off. Inspect the impeller for blockage.
5.2 Annual Maintenance
• Remove and inspect the impeller by depressing the tabs and removing the Upper Pump Housing. Remove the Pump Volute Outlet by turning it counter-clockwise. Inspect the impeller for damage and replace if necessary.
6) Troubleshooting6.1 Pump is not operating
• Ensure pump is plugged into a properly grounded and operational outlet. Outlet should be GFI protected. Ensure that the GFI outlet has not reset due to ambient moisture. Press “Test” and then “Reset” on the GFI outlet.
• Ensure the impeller is able to move freely. The impeller should be able to move with some effort inside the pump housing. If it is jammed with debris, follow instructions under Routine Maintenance to expose and check the impeller.
6.2 Reduced flow from pump
• Ensure that the Upper Pump Housing and the Lower Pump Housing is free of leaves and debris.
• Ensure that the fountain heads are free from any debris or clogs.
3 YEAR WARRANTY
This AquaJet™ Pump, #99738, #99739, and #99740 is warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for a period of 24 months starting at the date of purchase by the customer. Replaceable or wearable parts (such as filter media, impellers, light bulbs, o-rings, etc.) are not covered under the warranty policies. To order replacement parts, contact your local Aquascape™ Retailer. This is the only warranty applicable for this product. Our obligation under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the product if it fails to operate. Neither Aquascape™, Inc. nor the seller is liable for injury, loss or damage related to the use of the product. However, this limitation is not applicable in some states. The warranty is void if any of the following is found:
1) Abuse of product by the customer.
2) Product connected to an electrical supply other than specified.
3) Power cord cut to a length of less than three feet.
4) For pumps: (a) sealed motor housing opened; (b) pump operated dry, with fluid supply shut off and (c) pump used to circulate material other than fresh water, light oils or other mild liquids at approximately room temperature.
