This is a great natural way to keep your pond's algae under control and keep your water healthy and clear. This new version has 8 kinds of pond bacteria, including Photo Synthetic Bacteria (PSB) and is concentrated to 1 billion CFU per gram (in other words, one little teaspoon sized scoop can treat up to 1,000 gallons). When it's added to the water, it's safe for fish, plants, and animals (but you still want to keep it out of reach of children). Tips: It's best if you don't wait until you have a problem to start using beneficial bacteria. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of... bacteria. Treat your pond every day for the first 10 days after winter (or if it's a new pond). Then you can switch to a maintenance dose every week. It's more effective if the water is warm (above 50 degrees F or 10 degrees C). Add the bacteria to an area with lots of water circulation (right by the skimmer is a good choice so your pump can mix it up for you). You can store the unused portion at room temperature.
