Aquascape BioBalls provide a textured surface area (30 sq inches per BioBall) for beneficial bacteria to colonize and grow. Aquascape BioBalls are the ideal filtration media for use in all biological filtration. Each box contains 100 balls and fits perfectly in the Aquascape MicroFalls.

  BioBalls™ are designed to be lightweight filter media that is easy to clean and maintenance. Each box of Bioballs™ contain 144 pieces which equals a combined surface area 30 ft2. BioBalls™ are best used in a media net or strung together and placed in the BioFalls® Filter. Periodically, the BioBalls™ may have to be rinsed to remove debris from them. The BioBalls™ should be lightly rinsed with water from the pond or from the garden hose. Excessive cleaning can result in damaging the beneficial bacteria growing on the BioBalls™.
